Dr Francesco Piccolo
Respiratory and Sleep Medicine

Francesco is a Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Specialist.
Background: He completed a Bachelor in Medical Science with first class honours in Biochemistry (1999) and then an MBBS (2003) both at Sydney University. He completed his training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and the Western Australian Sleep Disorders Research Institute in 2012. He has previously worked as a consultant at SCGH and Swan District Hospital and currently is a specialist at the Midland SJOG Public and Private Hospitals were he is the Head of Service for Respiratory and Sleep Medicine.
Clinical: He manages all aspects of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. He has special interest in airways disease (asthma, bronchiectasis and COPD), pleural disease

Personal: He is fluent in Italian and loves coffee, music on vinyl and guitars.

Dr Helen Bell
Respiratory and Sleep Medicine

Helen is a Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Specialist.
Background: She completed her MBBS in 1998 at UWA. She trained in Respiratory Medicine at Royal Perth Hospital and Sleep Medicine at the Western Australian Sleep Disorders Research Institute. She has previously worked as a consultant at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Joondalup Health Campus and Swan District Hospital. She ran the Swan Sleep Service the first sleep service located in the Midland area from 2007 to 2015. She is currently the Co-director of Medicine at the Midland SJOG Public and Private Hospitals.
Clinical: She manages all aspects of Sleep Medicine and has special interest in in a multidisciplinary clinic for motor neuron disease.

Dr David Manners
Respiratory Medicine

David is a Respiratory and General Medicine Specialist.
Background: He completed an MBBS with honours in 2005 at Monash. He completed his training in Respiratory Medicine at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in 2014. He is currently is a specialist at the Midland SJOG Public and Private Hospitals. He is completeting his Masters in Public Health at Curtin. He hold a proffesor position at curtin university
Clinical: He manages all aspects of Respiratory Medicine. He has special interest in lung cancer and management of lung nodules. He has expertise in bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS). But his favourite thing is chronic incurable cough.

Research: David is researching lung cancer screening ect.

Personal: He is an avid cyclist and wine drinker. Combining the two is his favorite thing

Ed is a Respiratory Specialist.
Background: He completed an MBBS in 2005 at ???. He completed his training in Respiratory Medicine at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in 2012. He has aPhD. He is currently is a specialist at the Midland SJOG Public and Private Hospitals working as a respiratory specialist and in the intensive care unit.
Clinical: He manages all aspects of Respiratory Medicine. He has special expertise in the investigation and managemnt of pleural diseases, including pleuroscopy and managemnt of indwelling pleural catheters.
